Just in time for SXSW, Bill Piel has gotten the Foursquare “firehose,” live for Austin.  We are now tracking and co-mingling all checkins from Foursquare, Gowalla, Brightkite, and GraffitiGeo (Loopt) on Socialgreat.com.  The numbers look crazy:

Sam, Bill and I are psyched to be showing such big numbers, and we’re grateful to the FourSquare guys (especially Nate’s help) for the access and advising to get this working.

A few caveats:

• It’s working now but could break.  We think everything is accurate, but Bill has been hammering to get this done and it may break.
• The process of FourSquare moving off of City IDs has broken our other cities.  This is a trivial fix, but we haven’t gotten to it, so for now just Austin is working.  All the other cities have messed up data, but we (royal We, I mean Bill), will get to it in short order.
